Apple Cider Vinegar for Gorgeous Skin and Hair

Apple cider vinegar, a by-product of cider production, is the most versatile skincare and detoxification product when it comes to acne and other skin maladies. The benefits of apple cider vinegar were discovered in the Ancient Egypt and over centuries apple cider became one of the most trusted natural medicines all over the world. Hippocrates reportedly has used vinegar as an antibiotic, Samurai warriors used the vinegar tonic for strength and power, and Indians have been known to use apple cider vinegar in combination with honey to improve digestion

Apple cider vinegar has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and anti-viral properties. Nearly ninety different substances were identified in apple cider vinegar including minerals, trace elements and vitamins as well malic, acetic, propionic, lactic acids, enzymes, amino acids as well as apple pectin. Acetic acid in vinegar forms acetate compounds which bind to potentially dangerous toxic chemicals inside the body thus reducing the toxic load.  Apple cider vinegar is also helpful to lower high cholesterol, ease the insomnia and fatigue, assist in healing liver and kidney problems, asthma, weight loss and has a lot more holistic health uses.

Quite paradoxically, diluted vinegar makes our body more alkaline. You can speed up the acne cleansing by taking apple cider vinegar as a diluted drink: add 1 tablespoon organic apple cider vinegar to 1 glass purified tap water mixed with 1 teaspoon honey. This drink  should be enjoyed first thing in the morning, as a nutritional wake-up call to sleepy intestines. Be careful with apple cider vinegar and start using it in low concentrations if you are prone to heartburn and stomach disorders.

Apple cider vinegar works on the outside, too. First of all, it restores the acidic mantle of the skin and controls the growth of the bacteria on its surface. Acetic acid evens out and purifies the skin surface by stimulating the new growth of skin and collagen and by weakening the bond that holds together dead skin cells on the surface, leaving behind a layer of visibly smoother and softer skin.

You would normally find up to three varieties of the apple cider vinegar in your local health food store and large health food chains normally carry countless varieties of it. Buy the cloudiest, muddiest, darkest vinegar. The cloudy muddy substance is extremely saturated with vitamins and minerals. Please note that to make a toner for oily skin you will need apple cider vinegar, not wine or rice vinegar
